Art in Woodinville: It’s What’s Happening!

There are many places to spend the day or evening in Woodinville like touring the numerous wineries, hiking in the natural parks or biking the picturesque Sammamish River trail.  But maybe you’re interested in venturing off the beaten path to find something unique and fun that you haven’t already.  Well, if being creative is something inspires you, then here are a few ideas many have already discovered.

MoltenWorks Galls Studio

Glass fusing at MoltenWorks Glass Studio.   MoltenWorks offers fun classes on how to create many masterpieces like plates, lanterns and sun catchers out of glass. Here attendees learn the secrets of fusing glass. These classes are by appointment/reservations only.  A gift certificate for MoltenWorks is a unique gift idea for an experience your friends or family members will never forget.  Even better, plan a private party or corporate team building event at the studio.

Paint and Party

Another option is Paint and Party.  At Paint and Party, artists can design their own creation out of pottery and paint it as well. They cal also learn to fuse glass and build mosaics in their studio.  Aside from classes, offered year-round, they hold camps which run from April to August, along with field trips and private parties as well.  The staff at Paint and Party will teach, train and guide anyone with an interest in learning the skills of making pottery and fusing glass.

What if being an artist isn’t your thing, but looking at art is.  There are places in Woodinville for that too.  At the Howard Mandville Gallery, one will find a mix of original paintings and sculptures by local artists on display in their gallery.  The gallery just happens to be inside the Ponderosa Winery tasting room.  And yes, you can sip on Ponderosas fine wines while touring the art gallery.

Howard Mandville Art Gallery at the Ponderosa Winery Tasting Room

Picket Fence Art Studio is another option.  Here, visitors will be treated to numerous quality original photography and oil paintings by artist, Jamie Lightfoot, on display in her Woodinville studio.  Consider making an appointment to see all of Jamie’s inspirational works or schedule your next private party.

Most of these studios require advance reservations, so be sure to call or go online to book your class or private party.

And speaking of art, be sure to mark your calendar for the next Woodinville Art Walk Tours Presented by the Woodinville Art Alliance.  These art walk tours allow art enthusiasts to visit the galleries and studios of local artists.  These events are free, but you will need to rely on your own transportation.

Please share your experience if you have attended a class or have visited any of these studios in the past so others can hear first hand of what to expect.
